G’day Efans, Ethan here with another topical post for all your Ethpinion cravings. Today I wanna talk about how social media can negatively impact on our lives, And give some tips to those Efans who might need a little help in the dividing area.

To start of this blog I firstly want to discuss how addictive social media can be, After just researching into this topic for only a brief time I have found out that it’s believed social media is more addicting than cigarettes, Some of the reasonings behind social media being so addictive includes having your own space online so being able to do what you want, The fear of missing out on stuff, The attention of others on social media as well as the supposed high you get from being on social media, All of these are contributors to people being addicted to social media.

Another negative affect of the devil created social media which in my eyes is the biggest problem is the feeling of isolation from the rest of the world, Because individuals are able to go on your phone and escape reality, this tends to ruin peoples mental state due to them only knowing what's classified as normal on social media, What I mean by this is that people will start to feel self conscious because
they don't look like all the famous people on Instagram, The amount of expectations and standards cause people to want to alter there body figures due to what social media says is normal or perfect, As well as stuff that is supposedly cool.

Bullying, everyone is rather familiar with this topic, Social media makes bullying a whole lot easier than it should be due to everyone being able to hide behind a screen, Statistics say 1 in every 5 teenagers are bullied on social media, Individuals are becoming so consumed by the amount of time they spend on there phone that unfortunately for a lot of people they then face the dangers of  becoming verbally abused by others, Since its so easy to damage people self esteem behind a screens, This is also encouraging the amount of people doing it due to it being so easy. 

To conclude my blog I want to finish by saying social media is a problematic issue in todays society and considering how big the problem is this topic is not talked about enough in todays society, That's why I have decided to tell you guys about this topic today anyways hope you enjoyed Efans till next time PEACE OUT
