Flat tummy co. posts by Khloe Kardashian

Scrolling through social media you often come across those meal replacement products that are famous for being an unhealthy way to lose weight, with doctors saying that these shakes have no scientific evidence to support to back themselves up and having side effects such as liver damage.

Khloe Kardashian caused a media frenzy dude to products she was promoting on her Instagram, with even her fans not supporting her choice to advertise a product that will cause harm to others, and some even went a far to say that she was setting a bad example for her child and telling her to stop promoting this product.

This is not the first time Khloe has had major backlash for her posts promoting these kinds of products, she has even deleted a post after the good places Jameela Jamil raised some very real/fair concerns about it, saying, “If you’re too irresponsible to (a) own up to the fact that you have a personal trainer, nutritionist, probable chef, and a surgeon to achieve your aesthetic rather than this laxative product...and (b) tell them the side effects of this NON-FDA approved product, that most doctors are saying aren’t healthy [...] then I guess I have to.”

Khloe Kardashian is using her social media platform to promote negative products just for her benefit, not thinking about her young impressionable fans and viewers that would do anything just to look and be like her and this shows how dangerous the use of social media can be. She has an Instagram following of 98.2 million and has promoted products that people even her fan base doesn’t agree with just to get money in her pocket, and that to me is just morally wrong. You should not do something to benefit yourself if it is able to hurt others and I feel like that responsibility is magnified when you have a large following.

As a comment above by a fan says it is believed that she herself does not use this product that she is promoting to get the body she has but in multiple post she links the product to her body and how it helped her get their which is false advertising and can be very dangerous especially with her large amount of young girls following her and her not knowing how harmful this product can be to everyone.

Khloe Kardashian is aware of her large following and is also aware that she has impressionable followers that aspire to be like her, she has also been “famous” and had a large following for a long period of time so she should be aware of how harmful posts like that can be. What makes it worse and what made these posts go viral was the fact she has posted pictures like this promoting this product multiple times and received hate for it and she is just not learning, this then creates the idea of her not caring about her followers and just about the money.

I believe that this is just one of the many harsh and harmful factors of the internet and that the internet is easily turned into a negative space that can have a harmful impact on people’s lives and this can happen without them even knowing or realizing that it is effecting them.
